10 Agreements for Living Positively & Building Healthy Relationships
These 10 agreements will help you live positive, and healthy lives. Remove negativity from your life, and rediscover the joy of living!
1. Be Confident!
Confidence is key! Clichรฉ I know, but it's true! Be confident in your speech, abilities, and all aspects of your life. Say what you need to say and do what you need to do in order to get to where you want to be.
2. You are beautiful.
...and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, not even yourself.
3. You are worthy of love.
...even though sometimes it feels as if you aren't. You are worthy of love and love will come when the universe feels that you are ready. Be patient! However, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't chase after your crush or that special someone. Go for it! You have nothing to lose.
4. Chase after your dreams.
Again, what do you have to lose? Chase after your dreams โ even those that seem far from achievable and seem pretty wild. You will be surprised on what you can achieve with a little hard work, dedication, and conversations with the right people!
5. Be Fearless!
The only way I have found to let go of fears is to face those fears right on. In other words, do the things that scare you. You'll be happy with the results, and it's an incredibly rewarding feeling!
6. Be Honest!
...with others, but especially with yourself.
7. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
We are not superhuman, so we can't be expected to know everything and no one expects us to know everything either. Ask for help when you need it. Whether that be going to your professor's office hours, approaching a superior, or seeking a therapist. Even the most capable individuals need assistance at times (that's why they have managers and secretaries!)
8. Take mental health breaks when needed.
Know what you want and what you need, and do that! Sometimes what you need may be nothing โ a break from reality โ and that's okay. Take a day off to focus on yourself. The world will not end from you taking a break when you are feeling overwhelmed by life's tasks.
9. Find a hobby and stick to it!
Whether that be drawing, writing, singing, or sports, find an activity that you like and that brings you joy and participate in it frequently. You will find yourself resorting to this passion when you are feeling lost and/or confused (which is what I'm doing right now actually!).
10. Choose Happiness. Always.
