NYC Eats: 10Below Ice Cream
NYC is known for its eccentric, instagrammable food creations or what I like to call, trendy eats. One of NYC's #trendyeats is rolled ice cream. 10Below Ice Cream is one establishment that sells rolled ice cream — the dessert that has gained increased popularity on social media recently, with videos going around of vendors rolling the ice cream in front of the customer to view (this frozen treat actually originates from Thailand and that's where the original video, that gained so much popularity, was filmed!). 10Below has several locations around the city, but a friend and I went to its original shop in Chinatown. The ice cream is made with fresh cream and ingredients and is hand-crafted right in front of your eyes (and for the eyes of your Instagram and/or Snapchat followers!). 10Below has a variety of ice cream flavors with pun-ny names such as Matcha Made in Heaven (made with green tea and fresh strawberries) and Ain't Got No Thai Fo'Dat (house brewed thai iced tea and condensed milk). So, feed into the trend (we know you want to!) and go get yourself some rolled ice cream!
